Obituary for Marie "Janie" Lawson
Marie "Janie" Lawson, 90, of Wellsville, KS passed away December 18, 2015. A celebration of life will be held on December 31, 2015 from 2-4:00PM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Janie was born on April 21, 1925 in Bonner Springs, KS to Frank and Nellie Rogers. She graduated from De Soto High School. Janie owned and ran the Dew Drop Inn in De Soto for over 40 years. She was full of life and loved to party. She always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed her vacation home in Willis, TX. Janie loved her family and friends and she always gave them good advice. She will be missed by all. May we all have a fulfilled life the way she did. She is preceded in death by: husband Lyle Lawson; parents Frank and Nellie Rogers; son Dennis and siblings Dorothy, Homer, Vi, John, Tootie and Bill. Survivors include: best friend Linda Young, of Wellsville, KS; step daughter Debbie Shogren; grandchildren Brandy and Perry; great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
