Obituary for Larry Edward Duncan
Larry Edward Duncan died peacefully on November 6, 2015, at the age of 64 in Hillsdale, Kansas. He was born to Maxine and Ed Duncan in Paola, Kansas on March 29, 1951. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1969 and attended Emporia State University. He married Sherry Russell of Shawnee, Kansas in 1976. Larry was the owner of Kansas City Automated Mail since 1994. He was active in the Hillsdale Ruritans, an active member of 30 years in the Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, as well as other community organizations. He thoroughly enjoyed singing with the church choir, hunting for the elusive great buck and playing with his three grandsons. Larry's father Ed Duncan preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Sherry, of 39 years; his mother Maxine and her husband, Warren McVey of Spring Hill, Kansas; a daughter, Natalie Woods and her husband Mark and their sons, Darren, Mitchell, and Levi of Olathe, Kansas; a son, Matthew Duncan of Olathe, Kansas; and his sister, Linda Devoy of Topeka, Kansas. Visitation will be held at the Lighthouse Presbyterian Church, Paola, KS, from 9:00 -10:45AM with the memorial service following at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 13, 2015. The family is asking, in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be made to the Nathan Stiles Project or Youth Camp at Hillsdale Presbyterian Church, PO Box 61, Hillsdale, KS 66036, or Hope Lodge, 1120 Pennsylvania Ave. , Kansas City, MO 64105.
