Obituary for Jackie Harold Keightley
Jackie Harold Keightley was born April 8, 1926 in Fort Scott, KS. He died peacefully, November 30, 2016 in Raytown ,MO surrounded by his family. Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps and will be laid to rest at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Jack was known for his sacrificial love, always setting his own comfort and pleasure aside to help others. He is survived by his 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Jack had a clever sense of humor. One time, he was visiting with his daughter-in-law’s father from Japan. Having been wounded and nearly losing his leg in WWII, he jokingly said to her "Tell your father he got me.” to which her father replied “Tell Jack that he missed!” All in jest, they finished the evening with a few rounds of Sake. He will be remembered for his humor, his sharp memory, and deep love for his family.
