Wayne O. Humphreys, 62, of De Soto, KS passed away on November 21, 2016 in Shawnee, KS due to cancer. Private burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Wayne was born December 4, 1953 in Kansas City, MO. He was raised in upstate New York and graduated from Richfield Springs High School. He entered the Army in 1974 with the Army Rangers until 1979. He worked security for many years and retired from Wal-Mart due to health complications. Wayne was an avid Missouri Tigers fan, loyal Chiefs fan and loved the Kansas City Royals.
He is preceded in death by: parents Richard and Lois Humphreys and brother Allen Humphreys.
Survivors include: sons Trevor and Brock Humphreys; daughter Cortney Humphreys; sister Doreen Pross of Richfield Springs, NY and two nieces and two great nephews.
