Thomas G. King, 78, of De Soto, KS passed away July 2, 2014. Funeral services on July 5, 2014 at 10:00AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 Birch St., Eudora, KS. Visitation is on July 4, from 6-8:00PM with Rosary at 5:30PM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave, De Soto, KS. Graveside at Holy Family Cemetery, Eudora, KS. Memorial contributions to Holy Family Church. Tom was born on December 3, 1935 in Arvonia, KS. He graduated from Lebo High School in 1953 and married Alyce V. Studer on May 12, 1956. Tom was in the US Air Force. He worked for Western Electric and retired in 1987 then worked for De Soto School Dist. 232 at Woodsonia Elementary. He was a Boy Scout Leader and vigil member of Order of the Arrow. He was a little league coach and the proud father of 5 boys and a proud grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents Louis and Della King and infant brother Jackie Dean King. Survivors include: wife Alyce of the home, Ron (Lisa) King of Lawrence, KS, Mike King of Omaha, NE, Darrell (Brenda) King of De Soto, KS, Ken (Linda) King of Olathe, KS and Gene (Sara) King of Shawnee, KS, grandchildren Laura and Garry Blackstock, Bradley and Stephanie King, Ryan and Laura King, Kyle King, Riley King, Sydney King, Madison King, Ava King, Hayden King and great grandchildren Jasmine Blackstock and Bentley King, sisters Pat Knight and Donna Lyman of Lebo, KS, sister-in-law Kathy Haag of Hiawatha, KS, brother-in-laws Henry (Sharon) Studer of Sabetha, KS and Ray Studer of Hiawatha, KS
