Obituary for Sarah Dorothy Lewandowski
Sarah Dorothy Lewandowski, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, at the age of 70. Sarah is preceded by her parents, Erhardt A. and Elizabeth J. Winberg, and her husband, John F. Lewandowski. She leaves behind her two sons, Michael S. and Matthew J.F. Lewandowski, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
Sarah grew up with a warm heart, an adventurous spirit, and a passion for life’s simple joys. An avid traveler, Sarah found peace by the ocean, where she marveled at its vast beauty and awesome power.
Sarah’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, compassion, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A private family celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sarah’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
