Obituary for Rose Ellen Nesselhuf Gray
Rose Ellen Nesselhuf Gray passed away at 2:50 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. A graveside service will be held on October 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM at De Soto Cemetery in De Soto, KS.
She was born October 8, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas and had recently turned 65. Her parents, Tony and Daisy Nesselhuf, raised her on a 10 acre farm in Wyandotte County. Rose had one sister, Norma Jean and two brothers, Martin and Harvey. She was the youngest in the family.
Rose attended Vance Elementary School and Washington High School also in Wyandotte County. After high school she worked at the Forum Cafeteria where she met her husband, Tom Gray. They married and had two boys, Daniel and Jason. Both sons now live in Kansas City, Kansas.
After the boys were grown Rose worked at the Hen House but due to back problems she had to leave her job. She eventually moved to Blue Springs and had an apartment at Friendship Manor. She enjoyed friends there and at Vesper Hall. She commented often about the lunches and music. She enjoyed the dances and playing cards and bingo. She had a kind heart and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
