Obituary for Peggy Diane Likins (Shultz)
Peggy Diane Likins (Shultz), 68, passed away December 24, 2020 at Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center where she resided with Huntington’s Disease. Her Celebration of Life will be held on December 29, 2020 from 4pm – 6pm with services at 5:00pm at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS.

Peggy was born on March 12, 1952 in Gardner, KS to Eldean and Lila Jean Shultz. She grew up in De Soto, KS and graduated from De Soto High School in 1970. In 1985, Peggy was widowed from her first husband, Darrell Claar. She had one daughter, Melanie. She married her second husband in 1989 and had her son, Chadwick. She worked and retired from Walmart store 577 from 1986 to 2009, where she enjoyed playing canasta on lunch breaks. Her favorite past time was going to Royals games with her best friend Sharon. She loved collecting anything bunny related. She also loved cooking and baking for friends and family; bread pudding was one of her specialties. Some of her catch phrases were “take a chill pill”, “I love you more”, “Never a dull moment” and calling people “trouble”.

Preceded in death by: father Eldean Shultz, mother Lila Jean Shultz, brother Derald Shultz and brother Jack Shultz.

Survivors include: sister Pat Terry (Dale) of Ottawa, IL, sister Deanna Frackowiak (Dirk) of Paola, KS; children Darrell Claar II (stepson) of Crab Orchard, TN, Melanie Gamache of Olathe, KS and Chadwick Likins of Osawatomie, KS; grandchildren Destiny, Lillian, Samantha, Autumn, Chloe, Scarlett and Harper; great grandchildren Emily and Ava.
