Monte G. Maples, 50, of De Soto, KS passed away June 22, 2015. A memorial service will be held July 1, 2015 from 4-6:00PM at the Silver Wheel, 8385 Penner Ave, De Soto, KS. A family friendly get together on the patio at the Wheel. Monte was born December 8, 1964 in Lawrence, KS. Monte worked as a painter for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by brother Jeff Maples and sisters Kay and Tammy Maples. Survivors include: parents Max and Oleta Maples of De Soto, KS; children Shelby Maples of Denver, CO and Trey Maples of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada; brother Jimmy Cannon of Bolivar, MO and his beloved dog Petee.
