Obituary for Marjorie Elaine Herring
Marjorie “Elaine” Triebel Herring passed away on Sunday January 9,2022 peacefully at her DeSoto home.

Elaine was born May 9,1936 to Edward George Triebel & Viola Eva (Renner) Triebel. She graduated from DeSoto high school in 1954.

After leaving her home in Shawnee she lived in Jefferson City, Missouri for thirty years. She and Marion were the distributors of the Kansas City Star Newspaper in Jefferson City. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed socializing with her friends and especially enjoyed playing cards with her grandkids.

In 2014 she moved back to her hometown of DeSoto to be close to her family. She was a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives. Elaine welcomed everyone in her home and never knew a stranger. She touched everyone’s life she ever knew, always thinking of others before herself. She is and always will be missed by all of us.

Elaine is survived by her two daughters Sheila (Matthes) Ingala and husband Steve Ingala, Olathe, Kansas; Suzi (Herring) Moore, six grandchildren along with their spouses & sixteen great-grandchildren. Sister-n-law Vivian Triebel, Niece & Nephews Mike and David Triebel and Debbie Jenks.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Lee Herring of Shawnee, Kansas & Marion Matthes of Jefferson City, Missouri and brother Robert E. Triebel of DeSoto, Kansas.

The family will have a private graveside memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Chain of Hope at Chainofhopekc.org. Elaine truly loved animals.
