Obituary for Marjorie E Ireland
Marjorie E. Ireland, 80 of De Soto KS passed away March 19, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM March 25, 2022 at De Soto Baptist Church. Visitation will be March 24, 2022 at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel 32665 Lexington Ave. De Soto, KS from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Marge was born June 22, 1941 in LaCygne, KS to Charles E, and Stella M. (Massey) Rose.
Marge graduated from De Soto High School in 1959 along with her high school sweetheart Wayne. They were married August 31, 1960 with 53 wonderful years, She worked for Farmers Insurance Group for 37 years. Her enjoyment was her boys, and her grandkids activities never missing any of them. She loved all sports and she was an instant friend to all.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenyon and husband Wayne.
Survivors: Sons Rick (Kristi) Ireland of Olathe, KS and Doug (Beth) Ireland of De Soto, KS. Twin Brother Marvin (Kay) Rose of Overland Park, KS and sister Karen (Bobby) Russell of Eudora, KS. Grandchildren Amanda Ireland (Jackie) Lloyd, Scott Ireland (David) Oden, Jared (Taylor) Ireland, Kara (Ryan) Botz, Kelsi (Dylan) Seiler. Great grandchildren Trey, Elizabeth, Alex, Kate, and one on the way. Also surviving her is her loving dog, Lacy.
In lieu of flowers donations to the De Soto VFW Post 6654 in De Soto, KS is requested.
