Leonard J. Paxton, 92, of De Soto, KS passed away June 22, 2014. Funeral service on Saturday, June 28th at 11:00am with visitation from 10-11:00am at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave, De Soto. Private graveside at De Soto Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Cedar Crest Memorial, PO Box 101, De Soto, KS 66018 Leonard was born on August 31, 1921 in De Soto, KS. He was a life long resident of De Soto. He loved racing, NASCAR and everything to do with cars. Leonard was always willing to lend a hand to anyone, he knew no strangers. He enjoyed traveling with Georgene and loved his family. He was an avid storyteller and enjoyed his coffee with the guys. He also loved his tow truck. Survivors include wife Georgene of the home, daughters Susan (Gino) Warren and Ann Pennington both of De Soto, son Dale (Deta) Pennington of Pleasanton, KS, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
