Obituary for Kimberly Wohlberg-Campbell
It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Wohlberg-Campbell announces her
passing on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the age of 54, after a courageous battle
against cancer.
Kimberly was born Jan. 24,1966 to Victor and Donna Wohlberg in St. Paul, MN. She
graduated from Schlage High School in KCK in 1984. She was such a hard worker that she
would even set aside her own needs to help everyone else. Many would even say that
she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She raised her two children
in a home full of spunk and animals. She would even offer her home to others that
needed help.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as partying and
laughing with all of her family and friends. She was such a lovable, kind and fun person
that everyone would say “Kimmy is MY BEST FRIEND”! The world has lost a beautiful, loving, kind, compassionate, spunky, sassy, funny and extraordinary person. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Preceded in death by her father Victor Wohlberg.
Kimmy is survived by: her daughter Heather and son Tyison; her mother Donna Lovett; her sisters Robin (Scott) Alcanter and Lisa (Benjie) Blakney; her grandchildren Corbin and Maverick; her nieces and nephews Brittney, Shane and Samantha; her great nieces and nephew Lizzie, Rylan and Sa’Miyah arriving Dec. 2020; her best friend Mary Highman and countless other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held 2-4pm Saturday August 22nd at Cedar Crest Memorial
Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS 66018. Following the visitation there will be
a celebration of life at the Moose Lodge, 6621 Turner Dr., Kansas City, KS 66111.
Private graveside services will be held at Lenape Cemetery, Linwood, KS.
If desired family and friends may make a donation to help with Kimmy’s headstone.
Payments can be made to Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel for Kim Campbell.
