In loving memory of our dad, Kenneth Price, who passed away on October 28, 2022. Kenneth was the devoted husband to Meredith Price and loving father of two children. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a kind person and very outspoken, some would even say maybe too much, He was a giving man of his time who also worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life (which were many) with admirable strength and courage. Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he did his best to instill that same work ethic in us. He was always there for his family. He was a man of strong values, and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right.
He was self-employed for 36years as a mechanic and machine shop owner who retired in 2005. Dad was also an avid race car fan and driver who built his own race cars and was the stock car champion at Lakeside Speedway and Riverside racetrack in 1975. He also raced later on with SMVR and MOKan in Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
Kenneth leaves behind his wife of 58 years Meredith Price, a sister Eileen Solomon of Nashville, TN, two children Mark (Kim) Price of Desoto KS and Lori (Todd) Swardstrom of Lansing KS. He also leaves behind two grandchildren Christopher (Kira) Baughman of Baldwin City KS and Brandee Baughman of Lansing KS along with two great grandchildren Karleigh Johnson and Rhiley Baughman along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Our father was a true role model that anyone would have been lucky to encounter in life.
