Obituary for Kenneth F. Faircloth
Kenneth Faircloth, 64, of De Soto, KS passed March 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held Friday March 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Visitation will be on March 17, 2016 from 6-8:00 PM at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Johnson County Pheasants Forever, 6714 W 147 Terr., Overland Park, KS 66223. They will be honoring our father throughout the day with moments of remembrance on October 1, 2016 at Eckmans Hunting Preserve, 988 E 1800 Rd, Baldwin City, KS.
Kenny was born November 25, 1951 in Eufaula, AL to Floyd and Sarah Faircloth. He graduated from De Soto High School in 1971 and soon after joined the U.S. Army through 1979. He was a life long resident of De Soto. Kenny worked for Sunflower Army Ammunition and also worked for Koch Sulfur for many years. He retired from Huhtamaki in January 2014. Kenny was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball. He enjoyed all the kid's sports, coached baseball and was a boy scout leader never missing any activities.
Preceded in death by: father-in-law Jack Coffman. Survivors include: life companion Shirley Faircloth of De Soto, KS; son Chris (Samantha) of Baldwin City, KS; daughter Debbie (David) McCowan of Tonganoxie, KS; son Adam (Sarah) Faircloth of Burlington, KS and daughter Michelle (Jake) of Gonzales, TX; grandchildren Austin and Ashton Church, Taylor and Austin McCowan, Brock and Wesley Collier and Kaydence Faircloth; parents Floyd and Sarah Faircloth of Phenix City, AL; mother-in-law Virginia Coffman of De Soto, KS; brothers Jim and (Patricia) Faircoth of Phenix City, AL, Bill (Kathy) Faircloth of Opelika, AL, and Randy (April) Faircloth of Lawrence, KS; sisters Kathy (John) Powell of Phenix City, AL, Nancy (Sonny) McMahon of Smiths Station, Al, Carol (Tim) Ward of Phenix City, AL, Patsy (James ) Weaver of Smiths Station, GA and Glenda (Stephen) Wilson of Catula, GA and many nieces and nephews.
