Obituary for Joanie L. Cartwright
Joan Lyn Cartwright, 62 of Shawnee, KS, passed away, June 17, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Joanie was born in Iola, KS to John and Hazel (Elliott) Fiene. She grew up in Humbolt, KS and graduated from Humbolt High School in 1981. She went on to earn her degree in mortuary sciences from KCKCC. She worked in her field of study in the Kansas City area util her health declined.
She is survived by her sons Andi Cartwright of KCKS, Matt Cartwright of Saugerties, NY, grandchildren Alli and Payton Cartwright of KCKS. Mother Hazel Robb of Humbolt, KS, Sisters Jean (Paul) Johnson of Humbolt, KS; Kim (Daymon) Devader of Holt, KS; Jill David of Sedgwick, KS; Jana (Brian) Willard of Vassar, KS; Beth (Mike) Burghart of Lawrence, KS; Brothers John Fiene of Humbolt, KS; Donnie (Kathy) Robb of Grapeview, WA ; last but not least her beloved dog Bill.
She is preceded in death by her father John Fiene and stepfather John Robb and brother-in-law Steve Davis.
