Obituary for Jerry Neil Ratliff
Jerry Ratliff, 60, of De Soto, KS passed away December 12, 2014. Funeral services will be on December 17, 2014 at 2:00PM at De Soto V.F.W., 33725 W 84th St., De Soto, KS with visitation from 1-2:00PM at the V.F.W. Graveside services at De Soto Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to De Soto V.F.W., P.O. Box 54, De Soto, KS 66018. Jerry was born July 2, 1954 in Smith Center, KS. He graduated from Kensington High School in Kansas and was accepted to West Point and then joined the Army. He traveled the world as a translator in German, staying in Burling and worked for the private sector. Then to the Yukon for another start with the wilderness experiences of Alaska. He graduated from KU and started his own drywall Co. He moved to De Soto and was a member of the De Soto V.F.W. Survivors: Soul mate Deana Chance; brothers Dalen and wife Delores Ratliff of Kensington, KS, Alvin Ratliff of Salbury, MD and Allan and wife Twilla Ratliff of Tulsa, OK; sister Sandy and Steve Kuhlman of Athol, KS and many nieces and nephews.
