Obituary for James Adcock
James Adcock, 77, of De Soto, KS passed away on February 12, 2019 at Overland Park Regional Hospital. Memorial services will be held February 18, 2019 at 10:00AM with visitation from 9:30-10:00AM at De Soto Baptist Church, 8655 Copeland Way, De Soto, KS 66018.

Jim was born July 27, 1941 in Richmond, KS to William and Wynona Adcock. Jim, “Bigfoot” as he was known, graduated from Ottawa High School 1959. Jim served our country in the U.S. Army. He then went to work at GNB Inc. in Farmers Branch, TX. He retired after 28 years of service.
He was a active member of Farmers Branch Moose Lodge #2277, serving as the Administrator of the Lodge and was a honorary past Governor of the Lodge. He was secretary and treasurer of the local IBW Union #1176 at GNB Inc. He married Karen Carson on September 27, 1974 in Denton, TX. They moved to Chandler, TX and lived there until 2008 when they moved to Ottawa, KS and finally settled in De Soto, KS.
Preceded in death by parents and brother Tom Adcock.
Survivors include: wife Karen of the home; sons Eric Adcock of Kansas City, MO and Bryce Adcock of Houston, TX; stepchildren Jeff Carson of Carrollton, TX and Jennifer Collins of Independence, MO; grandchildren Cody, Sara, Zachary, Taylor, James and Tyler; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
