Obituary for Helen M. Blaine
Helen M Blaine, 96, De Soto, died Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Hillside Village.
She was born October 25, 1924 in California, Missouri, daughter of Otto and Clara Smith. She was married October 14, 1947, in Kansas City, to Jesse W Blaine, who proceeded her in death.
She was a wonderful homemaker who not only loved to cook and sew, but was totally devoted to her family. Helen also worked a number of years for Hallmark Cards. She was a dedicated Christian and a long-time member of Bonner Springs Baptist Church. She had a sweet and tender disposition and was always quick to smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We rejoice that she is now face to face with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Randall Blaine, Shawnee, and Mark Blaine, Phoenix; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Smith, and her eldest son, Eric Nielsen.
A private service will be held in her memory for family only.
We want to extend our sincerest thanks to all who served her tirelessly at Hillside Village.
Memorials may be made to Jerusalem Prayer Team International, P.O. Box 30000 Phoenix, AZ 85046.
