Gary Phillips, 62, of De Soto/Olathe, KS passed away on December 14, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday December 27, 2018 from 6-8:00PM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. A private graveside at De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, KS.
Gary was born on October 5, 1956 in Lawrence, KS to Earl and Geneva Phillips. He graduated from De Soto High School in 1974. He worked construction as a carpenter doing bridge work.
Gary & Roxane Percell of Olathe, KS became soul mates in 1994 happily getting married in July 2007. He came back to De Soto every chance he could. Gary enjoyed riding his Harley. He was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet and was always willing to help.
Preceded in death by: parents Earl and Geneva Phillips; sister Sharon Elrod and nephew David Elrod.
Survivors include: wife Roxane of the home; nephew Darin (Carrie) Elrod of Overland Park, KS; great niece Anna and great nephew Augie; his beloved dogs Lily and Ivy and a lot of friends.
