Spencer, Kaylie, Harrison, Burke and Grayson.
Ed served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1968 and was a small business owner for many years. Ed came to know Jesus as an adult in his 30’s. His love of teenagers and people inspired him to go into youth ministry. He spent many years sharing the love of Christ with young people and adults alike.
Ed was a loyal and loving husband, a committed father and an involved “Papa” to his grandchildren. His aim was to live his life as a direct reflection of his relationship with the Lord. He knew no stranger and everyone he met felt important and valuable. He loved God’s creation and was a life-long learner. He had a passion for reading. Ravi Zacharias was one of his favorite authors and speakers. His most enjoyable hobbies were playing cards with his close friends, feeding and watching the birds, planting flowers and tinkering in his wood shop. He could fix anything and if he didn’t know how to fix it, he would learn how.
Spending quality time with people was important to Ed. He could never wear out the words, “I love you”. He valued relationships above all and every moment was precious and meaningful to him. He will be greatly missed.
Please join the family for visitation at 6:00pm followed by a Celebration of Ed’s life at 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 2, at LifeMission Church in Olathe, KS.
