E. Duane Jewett, 79, of Overland Park, KS passed away December 30, 2016 at his home. There will be no services at this time per his request.
Duane was born September 25, 1937 in De Soto, KS to Elmer and Helen Jewett. He graduated from De Soto High School. He served our country in the Navy from 1957-1961. Duane married Brenda Gayer on September 10, 1960. They had two sons, raising them in Overland Park, KS. He was a loving husband and father, He was a hard worker, always putting his family first. Duane loved all sports and traveling.
He is preceded in death by: parents Elmer and Helen Jewett and sister Arden Wiess.
Survivors include: wife Brenda of the home; sons Daniel Jewett of Overland Park, KS and Jeff (Marie) Jewett of Olathe, KS; brother Donald (Zelda) Jewett of Shawnee, KS; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
