Dott was born November 6, 1937 in Sulphur City, AR to Ottis and Opal (Wood) Price. Dott was a beautician for many years and she had two different locations on Main St., while owning the beauty shop, she opened De Soto Flowers in 1976 and she was there until 2005. She grew up on the corner of Main St. in De Soto where she also attended school. Dott knew everyone. She married Donald Stephens on June 6, 1953 and moved to Colorado Springs where Don was in the Army.
Dott enjoyed people and was very De Soto minded. She had visions for the town she loved so much and she never let anyone stop her. She organized fundraisers for new Christmas lights for the city and to help restore Abbot Hall for a local museum which they had purchased. She volunteered to help with many other fundraisers.
This was a big part of her dreams for De Soto. She made wedding cakes and birthday cakes for many years for many people. She stood up for what she believed in and Don was always there to back her up. She was a member of the De Soto Baptist Church,
she belonged to the Pleasant Hour Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the Grand Marshal and volunteered at the De Soto food pantry. Dott retired from her loved Main St. De Soto.
She fought many battles with her health. She had a will to live starting from the time she was born until the end. She and our dad had a great life and they gave all of us one too.
She had a lot of passion for people, a good heart and warm soul. She was always our constant.
Predeceased in death by her parents, husband Donald Stephens, sons Michael and Douglas Stephens, sisters Virginia Osburn and Marcelline Mohler and brothers Bob Price and Claude Price.
