Donald D. Stephens, 85, of De Soto, KS passed away on June 16, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held June 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Burial in De Soto Cemetery,
De Soto, KS.
Don was born June 1, 1933 in Miami, MO to Leonard and Dera Stephens. He came to De Soto in 1953 and married Dott Price on June 6, 1953 with 65 years of marriage. Don served in the US Army and retired from Hercules Powder Plant. He was a carpenter by trade, building multiple homes and businesses in the De Soto area. He had a love for the lake, "life is better at the lake". Don was a hard working and honest man. He was always the man who stepped up to the plate doing the right thing.
Preceded in death by: his Parents and infant son Doug.
Survivors include: wife Dott of the home; son Mike Stephens of De Soto, KS; daughters Marcia McGoldrick of Glenwood, IA and Deanna Noe-Stephens of De Soto, KS; brothers L.T. Stephens of Triplett, MO and Bobby Stephens of Slater, MO; grandsons Aaron (Lori) McGoldrick, Donnie (Jessica) McGoldrick, Hunter (Ashley) Noe and Huston (Kelsi) Noe; great grandchildren Landon McGoldrick, Trenton McGoldrick, Carson McGoldrick, Dillon McGoldrick, Cooper McGoldrick, Reagan McGoldrick, Olivia Noe, Evie Noe and a baby girl due in November.
