Dennis W. Shogren, 68, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on June 29, 2017. There will be no services upon his request.
He is survived by wife of 38 years, Debbie Shogren, his favorite daughter Brandy Weide & partner Dave Hiner of Garnett, KS, his favorite son Perry Shorgen & wife LeAnn of Tongie, KS & 5 grandchildren Bailey, Braxton, Taylor, Palyn & Perry Jr.
He retired from the Teamsters Union Local 541 with 40 years of service and excellent safety record. With the last 10 years being with Hayes Drilling, hauling oversized drilling equipment .
Dennis will be most remembered for being the best practical joker. He loved getting you with one of his "gotcha ' pranks. His every day fashion statement was simple: a plaid snap down shirt with cut off sleeves & bell bottom jeans.
He had a strong work ethic and keen sense of wisely saving.
He enjoyed grilling, his 3 dogs and sitting in his oversized recliner with his oversized remote & drinking lots of Tequila.
He was an avid Chiefs fan & took pride in his 2 children.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you raise your Tequila glasses & toast Dennis. He will never be forgotten!
