Debbie Lynn Freeman Cundiff

Debbie was born in Seoul Korea on February 29th, 1960

She was an orphan … abandoned on the steps of the Seoul

courthouse and picked up by missionaries at the age of three hours.

She lived six months in an orphanage with the name

AkSul Kim until she was adopted by James and Joan Freeman

of Anaheim, CA. entering via Portland, OR.

As a child she became a naturalized US citizen.

She spent her early childhood living in the shadows of Disneyland…

where she spent much time and acquired amazing memories.

Later her parents returned to their native Missouri where she

spent the rest of her childhood in Gladstone, Missouri

graduating from Winnetonka High School in Kansas City North in 1978.

Her early work career was spent at Worlds of Fun as the front gate

supervisor. In that same period ,she became a Kansas City TV personality as

spokesperson for Frank Ancona Honda…”Please be kind to Frank Ancona”.

Her primary career was in the financial industry with

Midland Loan Service … as manager of Portfolio Services

until she became disabled in the early 2000’s.

Debbie received two kidney transplants in her lifetime,

survived cancer, sepsis, dialysis and numerous surgeries

until she was called heavenly for her new body – as she would say.

She was amazing courageous … a model for us all…

charm, kindness, beauty, talent and intelligence all

came together in one person. She loved photography,

art, plants and animals and buying stuff for her husband

and family,

She is survived by her husband Jay who she married in 2000,

three stepchildren … Laura, Jay and Joel … and eight grandchildren

Her parents James and Joan passed away in 1998 and 2016 respectively.

Her brother Greg left us in 2018 . She is also survived by a niece
