Obituary for Corey Jonathon Scott Lamar
Corey Jonathon Scott Lamar passed away in Anna, Texas on July 14th, 2017. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Burial in De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, KS.
Corey went to be with his Lord at the age of 25 years. He was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas on February 23rd, 1992 and was raised in Desoto, Kansas.
Corey loved his family and siblings dearly. He enjoyed hanging with his friends, fishing, mushroom hunting, bond fires, riding motorcycles, 4-wheeling and most of all his grandma Sheila’s cooking. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July. He also loved back road driving and mudding with his Uncle Dust in his Jeep. Corey was a huge fan of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas Jayhawks basketball team.
Preceded in death by: Cindy Baugher and J. Stanly Lamar.
He is survived by: loving father Jason Lamar of Liberty, Missouri and mother Shannon Howard of DeSoto, Kansas.
Corey is lovingly remembered by: grandparents John (Bubby) and Sheila Kraus of DeSoto, Kansas; Uncle Dustin (Dust) and Aunt Shauna of Overland Park, Kansas; Uncle Nathan Green of Richmond Missouri and Angie Allan of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers~ Noah Lamar, Ben Lamar, River Howard, and two sisters Lauren Lamar and Addison Howard all of DeSoto, Kansas and cousin Kaleigh (KK) Kraus of Overland Park, Kansas and by many more aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
