Obituary for Charlene Braley
Charlene Braley, 77, of De Soto, KS passed away August 17, 2013. A funeral service will be held August 21st at 2:00pm at De Soto United Methodist Church, 8760 Kill Creed Rd with visitation starting at 1:00pm at the church. Graveside at De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, KS. Memorial contributions can be made to Lawrence Humane Society, 1805 E. 19th St., Lawrence, KS 66046. Charlene was born January 4, 1936 in Powhattan, KS. She grew up on a farm in Horton, KS. After graduation she moved to KCMO. Charlene married Roy Braley in 1958 and moved to De Soto. She was a member of the De Soto United Methodist Church. She worked in the De Soto School Dist. starting in 1967 until her retirement in 2001. She worked most of those years as secretary to the Superintendent and the Board Clerk. She is preceded in death by husband, Roy Braley, Parents Laurence and Clara Crane and brother Richard Crane. Survivors include, Daughter Karen Braley of De Soto, KS and Son Eric Braley of Derby, KS.
