Celesta " Georgene" Paxton, 74 of De Soto KS passed January 26, 2015 Funeral services will be held January 31, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel 32665 Lexington Ave. De Soto KS with Visitation from 2-3:00 PM at the Chapel. Private graveside De Soto Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer Association 3846 W 75 St. Prairie Village KS 66208 Georgene was born Sept 20, 1940 in Hog Ridge MO to George and Elfreeda Payton. She grew up and raised her children in De Soto. Marrying Leonard Paxton in 1979. Georgene loved to read books together with her husband. Enjoying eating out as often as possible. Traveling, garage selling, flea market and a collector of many wonderful things. Holidays where her favorites from Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Playing her auto-harp and singing with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. Preceded in death by Parents George and Elfreeda Payton. Husband Leonard Paxton Survivors Daughters Susan and Gino Warren and Ann Pennington both of De Soto KS. Son Dale and Deta Pennington of Pleasanton KS, Sisters Leota Fruit, Audrey Quaile, both of De Soto, Loretta and Rick Nichols. Brother Carl and Cindy Payton of Fort Worth TX. Grandchildren Jennifer, Katie, Clinton, Sterling and Alec. Great grandchildren Liliana and Diego.
