Obituary for Brenda K. Smailes (Richmond)
Brenda K. Smailes (Richmond), 53, of Rainelle, WV passed away Feb. 28, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Hospital, surrounded by an abundance of loved ones in her home state. There will be a private service at the family home. She was born February 5, 1962 in Anchorage, AK. Brenda, also known as "Binkey", was raised in De Soto and graduated from De Soto High School in 1980. She moved to West Virginia after high school. She married Raymond Smailes on April 1, 1985 in West Virginia. She was a homemaker with a head strong attitude. She had a beautiful smile, warm heart, and a contagious laugh. She was a loving mother of her children Jennifer, April, Jarrett and Kayla. She will be greatly missed by family and friends and will forever be cherished and remain in all of our hearts. Preceded in death by: daughter April Smailes and father Randall (Buddy) Richmond. Survivors include: mother Margaret Richmond of Linwood, KS, the obligated one Carla Davis also of Linwood, KS; sisters Debra Wagner of Eudora, KS, Julie Scott of De Soto, KS, Patty Rymer of Basehor, KS and Majel Gardner of De Soto, KS; husband Raymond Smailes of Summersville, WV; children Jennifer Wickline of Samblack, WV, Jarrett Smailes of Alderson, WV and Kayla Smailes of Summersville, WV; best friend Angie Benny of Charmco, WV and 9 grandchildren. And she loved her dogs more then her family. Lol
