Bill Furman, 76, of De Soto, KS, passed away July 27, 2012. Funeral services will be held July 31, 2012 at 1:30PM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be July 30th from 6-8PM at the Chapel. Graveside at De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, KS. Bill was born on March 21, 1936 in Omaha, NE. He married JoAnn Busse on January 1, 1955. Bill worked for a paint manufacturer, was a laborer for the #1290 Union and a custodian for KU in Lawrence. He is survived by wife, JoAnn of the home, Daughter, Rosie (Bruce) Newman of Lawrence, KS, Grandchildren: Kevin Newman, Lyndie Dean and Amie Jo Hessling, Daughter, Sherri Quick of Eudora, KS, Grandchildren: Hayley Shields and Sarah Karashin, Great grandchildren: Peyton, Lilly, Keaton, Spencer, Kyle, Mackenzie and Ashlie.
